LONDON, Dec 3 (IranMania) - Head of Iran's State Expediency Council Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said Friday that Tehran expects it would become a member of the club of countries possessing nuclear technology.
According to IRNA, speaking at the weekly gathering, Rafsanjani stressed Tehran will not give up its legal and international right to have access to peaceful nuclear technology.
"We are dissatisfied with the performance of the International Atomic Energy Agency and the West on Iran`s nuclear dossier," chairman of the Expediency Council said as he pointed to developments of the country`s nuclear case during the past two years.
"They have oppressed us. The Islamic Republic has had a legal attitude for acquiring peaceful nuclear technology. The Islamic Republic has agreed to suspend enrichment activities for a maximum six-month period to assure the IAEA that Iran`s nuclear activities are peaceful. Following the period, we will seriously follow up the plans to
implement enrichment plan and use nuclear technology peacefully." Rafsanjani said.
He reiterated that Tehran does not want nuclear weapon and will not give up its absolute rights."
